This drawing was drawn from a violent movie, but I actually know of a true story when a drugged-up boyfriend took a pistol to his girlfriend's temple and he pulled the trigger destroying both of her eyes, leaving her blind for the rest of her life.
He wanted her to go to work, probably sex work to make money so he could buy drugs. She said, 'No!' So, he reached for a gun and put it up against her temple next to her eye, and then he pulled the trigger, causing a young woman to be blind for the rest of her life.
He was caught 15 minutes later, higher than a kite as was told to me by the lady who was a witness to the event. I met her on a dark lonely back road when it was pouring rain. Her battery had died, so I have her a jump with my truck when she told me the story.
Her landlord had killed her out of apartment because he needed it for her now blind daughter.
My only goal this week was to do a better drawing than last week. LOL.
That is true, but really, I am using my own technique to draw these portraits. Therefore, I have to experiment each time I do my own drawings/portraits because what the beginner does not know is that no matter how many Youtube videos they watch or how many art books they buy, they need about 10,000 hours of practice over years to get any good at drawing. Some people can draw faster if they practice a lot in one year. People need to practice because the brain is working on many levels to see something and then to use the muscles and fingers to translate it to paper.
This drawing was done with many types of pens and pencils and color pencils, on sketch paper. And some specialty pens and pencils too. Color Pens and Markers too.
It has been a long time since I have drawn portraits, so it will take a while for my brain and fingers to get warmed again. It has been about 6 years since I have drawn portraits.
Thanks for looking.
